Welcome to Family Tech Guru —the place where everyday parents transform into confident tech heroes for their families. I’m a 40-year-old husband and proud dad to two amazing kids (ages 4 and 8), with over 15 years of hands-on experience fixing computers and designing simple websites. Like so many of you, my wife and I have been in the trenches of family life—balancing work deadlines, school runs, extracurricular chaos, and those never-ending tech headaches that come with parenting in today’s digital world.
For me, figuring out how to manage screen time, keep devices running smoothly, and protect my kids online became an act of love—a way to ensure they thrive without unnecessary stress or risks. But I also saw something else: what felt natural to me was often overwhelming for other parents. The frustration, the confusion, the late-night Googling—it didn’t have to be this hard.
